Earlier design windows were actually built with two panes and a space in between them. This space was then filled with gases such as argon that would act as an insulator. As time wears on, this gas can escape due to the seal wearing down, leaving your panes exposed to condensation. Once the condensation dries over in the inaccessible portion of your windows, you’re left with a foggy layer that can’t be cleaned. 

Musty Odor
